Adam Rosko is the founder of Adam & the Backgrounds. Since moving to Portland in 2007, he has been the co-founder of Atomic Arts, where he co-produced and directed the wildly popular annual, outdoor stage adaptations of Star Trek, TREK IN THE PARK. 

In 2015, he made the transition from stage to film, joining the crew of IFC'S PORTLANDIA as part of the casting department running the background for season 6. The unique situation of filming Portlandia had Adam not only finding and casting the background talent for each day of shooting, he was also on set helping direct each extra's full experience beginning to end.

Adam takes tremendous joy making sure each background player has a satisfying experience being part of the filmmaking team that day. And he should, his first job ever was being an extra in the film of his favorite superhero, 2002's Spider-Man!

After continuing doing background casting for Portlandia Season 7, the 2017 Sundance Grand Jury Winning feature film, I Don't Feel at Home In The World Anymore (now streaming on Netflix!), and various commercials and PSA's, he is breaking out and creating his own company specializing in background talent casting.
